Take a few steps back and take a deep breath! We all have our moments where we feel overwhelmed with the many tasks put on our shoulders during high school. Although you may feel like you have no time to take time for yourself, especially during busy times, remember, that it’s perfectly fine to take a step back and give yourself a break. Taking breaks during times like these is essential to regain your composure and control your stress.
Consider breaking tasks into smaller chunks! You don’t have to pressure yourself and finish everything at once! Breaking tasks down into smaller, more manageable chunks and tackling these chunks one at a time can help reduce the clutter in your mind. Taking into account all the tasks you have and prioritizing them according to urgency can also help you remove some workload off your back temporarily, allowing you to excel at the tasks in the moment!
If you feel like you are struggling to understand content or feel like time is not on your side, fear not! Be open to asking for help -- ask your teachers and fellow peers if you are struggling! They can often help alleviate some of those burdens and stressors off your back!
Finally, acknowledge the fact that YOU ARE A CHAMPION! You are strong, capable, and resilient. Do not let outside pressures eat away at your amazingness! Remember that everything passes and you have the power to excel! You got this!
